COME AND LIVE A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE IN THE CAVE OF TUNING HOYA DE LA IGLESIA
At the Hoya de la Iglesia Cheese Factory, we offer you the experience of a workshop to make fresh goat’s milk cheese with your own hands in the traditional way. Afterwards, we will enjoy a guided tasting of our cheeses together with a selection of cheeses refined in our caves.
Workshop and guided tasting: from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Guided tasting: from 12:15 to 13:00.
The experience will take place in one of our 3 caves. All of them maintain a temperature of between 12 and 15 degrees constant all year round, with a humidity of around 90%.
Due to the temperature of the caves we recommend some extra warm clothing.
The visit is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
For hygienic-sanitary reasons, animals are not allowed.
DURATION OF THE VISIT
The duration of the workshop with tasting will be approximately 1.5 hours, 45 minutes of which correspond to the elaboration workshop and 45 minutes to the guided tasting.
We will begin with the cheese making process, in which all the steps to follow to make a typical Valencian pañoleta fresh cheese will be explained in detail. With the knowledge acquired, the visitor will be able to make the product at home. Afterwards, a selection of cheeses will be paired in individual dishes with a local wine, thus beginning the guided tasting.
